Welcome to our new weekly video series we are calling Hack the Planet.
In the coming months I will be travelling all over the world interviewing interesting people in the world of security and other fields such as public relations and emergency medicine finding lessons that can be learned and applied to security.
In this first episode I talk over Zoom to Jim Zemlin, the Executive Director of the Linux Foundation. We talk about funding models for open source communities that are part of the Linux Foundation umbrella like the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and the Open Source Security Foundation (OSSF), in particular about the impact the OSSF is having on supply chain security. You will also hear us talk about OWASP and how it could have a greater impact in security with a new funding model.
This episode was recorded the day after the Queen died and at the end of the conversation you will hear me test Jim on his knowledge of the British Royalty. He only managed to get three out of the five questions correct.
